Garth Brooks is a country music megastar, but is he a serial killer?
That’s the conspiracy theory going around the internet, though it’s less a conspiracy theory than a joke run wild. It all began on the Your Mom’s House podcast, hosted by comedian Tom Segura and his wife Christina Pazsitzky. There is a running bit on the show where the hosts make fun of Brooks, dating back to 2018 and his stadium tour/the overall awkward vibe of his social media presence.
Segura pontificated in passing on a particular episode that Brooks is “thinking about all the bodies he’s got stacked in graves in his yard, for sure. He’s probably killed 200-300 people in his life.” It’s a joke – we think – but one the internet has run with ever since.
Where Are the Bodies, Garth?
You might have seen that phrase popping up here and there, especially littered in the comments on Brooks’ social media channels. Well, it all dates back to the running gag on Your Mom’s House. But because this is the internet, jokes suddenly become rumors, as the origins of things get twisted into what eventually evolves into a full-blown conspiracy theory. So yes, there is probably someone out there who full-on believes that Garth Brooks has been killing people for decades and getting away with it, burying all the bodies in his backyard.
New Developments in the Garth Brooks Murder Conspiracy
Somehow it hadn’t happened until recently, but it appears Brooks has finally blocked Segura on Instagram, a tidbit learned from Segura’s recent appearance on Theo Von’s podcast This Past Weekend. And, according to Segura, Brooks absolutely knows about the serial killer conspiracy, which isn’t surprising considering his social media posts are littered with people cheekily demanding answers.
What’s also fun is that Brooks is seemingly less bothered by it than he is simply confused. But it apparently gets under the country legend’s skin enough that he has a response in the chamber anytime someone brings up Segura around him:
“Another person told me, this person said to me that they heard from a reliable source that when my name comes up to him, that he on his phone shows the video of me playing basketball and falling, and he goes, ‘Karma.'”

You know, in the end, I guess we can’t say for sure that Garth Brooks – one of country music’s most successful superstars – isn’t a serial killer, stacking hundreds of bodies on his property. Maybe someone should look into this…
